Meeting with Franklin County’s Agricultural Community
On June 11, 2026, Assessor John Rosenau joined Franklin County’s agricultural appraisal team in Connell to meet with local farmers, landowners, and agricultural producers.
The discussion focused on Current Use Farm & Agricultural programs, property assessments, exemptions, and how voter-approved levies affect property taxes. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss concerns, and gain a better understanding of how Washington’s property tax system works.
John believes taxpayers deserve access to accurate information and direct communication from their elected officials. Meetings like these provide an opportunity to explain complex assessment and tax issues, answer questions, and ensure property owners understand the programs and exemptions available to them.
Agriculture remains a cornerstone of Franklin County’s economy and way of life. Throughout his time as Assessor, John has worked to support farmers and agricultural landowners through education, outreach, and advocacy for fair and sustainable property tax policies.
